The CB1 is a Carbon Block that reduces rust and sediment, Improves Taste - Reduces Odor and Chlorine by 99.95% when the influent is no greater then 2.1 mg/l. The CB1 reduces cryptosporidium and giardia Cysts by 99.99% and has an average cartridge life of 6 months or 1000 gallons of water at a flow rate of 1.0 GPM. The micron rating is 1.0 and the smaller the micron the finer the filtration of the water. Included in CBF1 & OT5 Under Sink Water Filters and can be used in other undersink Omni Water Filter Systems. CARBON BLOCK replacement cartridges or Omni Water Filter systems using a carbon block SHOULD NOT be used on well water that has a hydrogen sulfide smell (rotten eggs). It will make the problem more noticeable and you should if you have the problem use the Omni Pro 6 replacement cartridge in your Omni Water Filter system.
