The CB3 has been improved and is now series B and the design has changed.

The CB3 is a replacement cartridge for undersink water filter systems (CBF3, OT32, OT2, & OT5) and is replacing the TC3 filter cartridge. The CB3 is a carbon block filter cartridge which reduces rust, sediment, improves taste, reduces odor and chlorine by 97.59%. The CB3 reduces lead by 97% and it also reduces cryptosporidium and giardia cysts by 99.99%. The average cartridge life is 4 months or 600 gallons of water at a flow rate of .5 gallon per minute. The micron rating of the CB3 is 0.5 and the smaller the micron the finer the filtration of the water. If you are having problems with the hydrogen sulfide in the well water you should not use the CB3 in this application. The Pro 6 listed in the undersink section is the cartridge that should be used. Usage and the quality of the water in your incoming line determines when your cartridge should be changed.
