The TO1 is a Whole House replacement cartridge that is a carbon wrapped
cartridge. The TO1 Reduces Rust and Sediment, Improves Taste - Reduces
Odor and Chlorine by 60%. Average cartridge life is 3 months or 15,000
gallons of water at a flow rate of 5 gallons per minute. The micron rating
on the TO1 is 5 and the smaller the micron the finer the filtration of
the water. Included in R14, U24 & U25 Whole House Water Filters (24
filters per case)
The TO1 contains cellulose paper in the cartridge
and when they come in contact with raw/untreated water the bacteria adheres
to the cellulose paper and causes either a rotten egg odor, creates a
black slime on the cartridge or will start to break down the cartridge
itself. Using
our synthetic filter cartridges such as our RS2, RS3, RS7, RS12 or RS14
will not have that reaction.
